Moravians in North Carolina
Moravians are a people group that belong to the Moravian Church. The Moravian Church is a denomination of the Protestant religion. Their beliefs are based on the relationship they have with Jesus Christ. “Our faith is relationship — relationship with Jesus Christ. This provides a basis for relationship with each other. This should always be the foundation of our understanding of Moravian identity.” ("Who are moravians?,") They are a people with rich history and culture.
They are an old denomination that was founded in 1457 in Bohemia. The Moravian Church has great ties to the state of North Carolina and has made some significant contributions to North Carolina history and culture. Moravians have contributed greatly to the field of education as well as many other
